Palkofia is a Palestinian design brand born in Gaza, created to transform heritage, memory, and identity into contemporary pieces made to be worn, shared, and carried forward.
SECTION 02 — THIS IS WHERE IT STARTED
BORN IN GAZA
Palkofia was not born in a quiet studio or built from a perfect plan.
It began in Gaza, during power outages and repeated displacement, when a young software and AI engineer decided to build something beautiful in a place where almost everything around him was falling apart.
What began with a laptop, an idea, and the determination to keep creating became Palkofia.
For more than six months, the brand was built from scratch — from design to launch — between one displacement and the next.
There were moments when the laptop would shut down in the middle of the work. Moments when everything had to be packed into a small bag and left behind.
Then the work would begin again.
Palkofia was built by starting again.
The book describes this origin directly, including the six-month process of building the brand during the war and the repeated disruptions caused by displacement.

IDENTITY DESERVES A PLACE TO LIVE.
Palestinian identity is not something that simply belongs in history books, museums, or old photographs.
It lives in the details.
In the patterns passed from one generation to another.
In the keffiyeh.
In embroidery.
In the olive tree.
In the names of places remembered by heart.
In the stories carried by families.
